Beyoncé Once Revealed the One Habit of Hers Jay-Z Can't Stand

It’s no secret that Beyoncé and Jay-Z have a ton of love for each other. Though they keep the details surrounding their romance under wraps, it’s pretty clear that the couple is head over heels for one another and are a match made in heaven.

But despite being perfect for each other, there are some things Bey and Jay can’t stand about one another, which goes to show that they are just like all other married couples at the end of the day.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been together since the early 2000s

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s love story kicked off in the late ’90s when they first met on a plane ride to Cancún. At the time, Bey was an up-and-coming singer while Jay was already an established rapper.

Though there isn’t much information about their first encounter, the rapper revealed in his song “713” off his and Bey’s 2018 album, Everything Is Love, that he knew right away that the singer was the one for him.

“Fate had me sittin’ next to you on the plane/ And I knew straight away,” he rapped. The song also talks about how after their trip to Cancún, the pair spoke on the phone practically every day to get to know each other.

The rapper also recalls how their first date together went, revealing that he made some early mistakes trying to impress Beyoncé.

“You kept me up on the phone while you were away,” he continues. “You came back I let you set the date, Nobu on the plate/ I brought my dude to play it cool, my first foolish mistake.”

The couple has experienced many ups and downs together

In 2003, Beyoncé and Jay-Z seemingly confirmed that they were an official couple in their song “03 Bonnie and Clyde.” The following year, the pair went public with their relationship when they attended the 2004 BET Awards together.

Fast forward to April 2008, Bey and Jay made their love official by tying the knot during an exclusive — and top-secret — wedding ceremony held inside the rapper’s New York City penthouse.

In 2012, Beyoncé gave birth to their first child, Blue Ivy Carter, and in 2017, she had twins, Sir and Rumi Carter.

To fans, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have the perfect relationship and are hands-downs the ultimate power couple. But like all other partners, Bey and Jay have also experienced a few hiccups in their relationship.

In 2014, rumors that Jay had allegedly cheated on Beyoncé arose when video footage surfaced of the singer’s sister, Solange, attacking the rapper inside an elevator.

Those rumors swirled once again in 2016 when Beyoncé came out with her Lemonade record that had talked about a dishonest significant other and also mentioned the infamous “Becky with good hair.”

Jay’s infidelity was eventually confirmed in 2018 when he admitted to David Letterman that he had been unfaithful in his marriage. 

But despite the gossip and turmoil, Bey and Jay have continued to put up a united front and remain a power couple who inspires the world daily.

One of Beyoncé’s personal traits doesn’t sit well with the rapper

Though Beyoncé and Jay-Z love each other tremendously, that doesn’t mean they have to like everything about each other.

In 2009, the “Halo” singer revealed that there’s one trait of hers that bugs the rapper to no end, and it has to do with her lack of cleanliness when she’s out of the spotlight.

“I’m a little messy!” the hitmaker confessed to Ebony magazine, per People. “Oh, yeah.”

The singer explained that she likes to kick back and enjoy her time off when she gets a break from work. This, in turn, causes her messy streak to come out, which Jay-Z can’t stand.

“I don’t have any shoes on. No makeup. My shoes are left at the door. My purse is in the kitchen,” she continued. “I’m relaxed!”

She added, “I think that is the most difficult thing for [Jay]. He’s very, very organized.”
