Beyoncé Leads 2021 NAACP Image Award Nominations In Music Categories

Beyoncé received the most nominations of any artist in the music recording categories for the 2021 NAACP Image Award.

Queen Bey was nominated Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Soul/R&B for her 2020 song, “Black Parade.” The superstar received two nominations in the Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album category for her Disney+ film Black Is King and “Brown Skin Girl” featuring WizKid, SAINt JHN and Blue Ivy Carter.

Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Savage” remix featuring Beyoncé received nominations in both the Hip Hop/Rap Song category and Outstanding Duo, Group Or Collaboration (Contemporary) category.

The other nominees in the Outstanding Female Artist category are Alicia Keys, H.E.R., Jazmine Sullivan and Ledisi.

Big Sean, Black Thought, Charlie Wilson, Drake and John Legend are the nominees for the Outstanding Male Artist award.

Netflix leads with 48 nominations across the Motion Picture and Television Categories, while Harper Collins Publishers leads with 9 nominations in the literary categories.

The full-list of nominees for the 52nd NAACP Image Awards were announced Tuesday in a special virtual event on NAACP Image Awards’ Instagram channel hosted by Anika Noni-Rose, Chloe Bailey, Erika Alexander, Nicco Annan and TC Carson.

The winners will be revealed during a live TV special on Saturday, March 27. The event will be broadcast on BET and across ViacomCBS Networks including CBS, BET Her, VH1, MTV, MTV2, and LOGO.
