Berlin’s Terri Nunn Apologizes For Playing NYE Party At Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Resort

Berlin frontwoman Terri Nunn has apologized for playing a New Year Eve party at the Mar-a-Lago resort owned by President Donald Trump.

The event held at the Florida resort came under fire over its failure to abide by coronavirus protocols.

“I am truly sorry I performed at Mar-a-Lago and would not have done so if I’d known what I learned while I was there,” Nunn wrote in a statement she posted on Berlin’s Facebook page.

She added, “My goal in performing was not to support a political party. I see now that that’s not the way it appeared and I am apologetic for that as well.”

Some of Trump’s children reportedly attended the party.

Taylor Dayne, Vanilla Ice and the touring edition of the Beach Boys also performed in front of the largely mask-less crowd.

Nunn said that according to the performance contract, “it was a small Covid-safe event for the members of Mar-a-Lago.” Unfortunately, it was not Covid-safe anywhere in Florida, she added.

The singer said she was shocked by “Florida and Mar-a-Lago’s lack of regard for the pandemic and if I’d known I would never have gone.”

She added that she left the event as soon as fulfilling her contractual obligation.

Nunn said she tested negative for Covid-19 on Sunday.
