Bachelor in Paradise Recap: A Fight! A Wedding! And More!

08/28/2019

Many differnet kinds of words were exchanged on Bachelor in Paradise this week.

The ones between Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson were very nice and romantic, befitting of vows a bride and groom would say on their wedding day.

The ones between John Paul Jones and Derek Peth, however, were heated and intense. We doubt these two will spend eternity together as  a happily married couple.

Let’s start with the latter first, as Jones hurled some serious allegations at Peth on last night’s episode of this ABC smash hit.

We’ll get to that in a moment, but first:

Immediately following the rose ceremony from the previous installment, all contestants watched as Dean Unglert broke up with Caelynn Miller-Keyes on her birthday.

Ouch, right?

Dean didn’t wanna lead Caelynn on, well aware he couldn’t get to the point where she needed him to be. Emotionally, we mean. In terms of his feelings.

Unglert thought that sticking around would only make things harder and he wanted to give her the change to explore other relationships, hence why decided to go home.

Caelynn confessed she was waiting for their romance to end, yet felt hopeful he was going to try to make it work.

She was blindsided because she thought Dean was her “forever.”

Again: Ouch, right?

However, things turned around when Connor Saeli caught Caelynn’s eye (and also Kristina Schulman’s) at Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson’s televised  wedding.

The former beauty queen said she was crazy about Saeli, even yanking him aside at one point for a kiss.

Caelynn was upset, though, that the pair could only hang out for one night — until Connor surprised her by showing up in Paradise and taking her out on a date, much to Kristina’s annoyance.

Where does the John Paul drama fit into this?

The guy suffered an emotional breakdown after he realized he was in love with Tayshia Adams. Yes, folks, love.

A problem arose, however, because Tayshia and JPJ’s connection was slipping away as she grew closer to Derek, prompting John Paul to cry uncontrollably as Blake Horstmann consoled him.

John Paul also admitted that he couldn’t just pretend to like Haley Ferguson.

You can see where this is going, right?

Straight to an ugly confrontation at Chris and Krystal’s wedding!

At the special event, John Paul warned Tayshia that Derek was manipulating her.

She shot back that she had feelings for both men and wanted to figure it out for herself.

Jones alleged, though, that Derek took “advantage of [his fans] sexually” and went on the program solely to amass more fame and cultivate content for his podcast.

John Paul then used the reception to go right at Derek, who said that all of these wild accusations were false.

JPJ essentially screamed over Derek the whole time, which forced Chris and Krystal to dismiss several cast members before the afterparty. Tayshia, meanwhile, sobbed over the fight.

Which wasn’t even over.

Round two went down on the beach, where Derek asked to explain himself to John Paul — but Jones refused to hear him out.

Peth claimed to not know John Paul was interested in Tayshia, and the argument concluded with Jones telling his enemy not to talk to him for the rest of filming.

Elsewhere, like we said, Chris and Krystal got married!

And no one really cared!

Also, Clay Harbor was very concerned about reuniting with his ex Angela Amezcua,  who was serving sa bridesmaid at the ceremy.

They hadn’t seen each other since their splt, and he worried she would be hurt seeing him with Nicole Lopez-Alvar.

Clay ended up explaining to Angela that he still cared a great deal about her, while she noted that his presence in Paradise didn’t make sense to her after their serious relationship.

Nicole, meanwhile. actially thought Clay might not be over Angela, hence why she questioned whether he wanted to get back together with her.

As the episode wrapped, Angela arrived on the beach. Cue the suspenseful music!
