Adam Sandler’s Twitter gets hacked, spews racist comments

Adam Sandler is the latest celebrity victim of a major Twitter hack.

The “Uncut Gems” star’s account, which has 2.4 million followers, alarmed fans when it began sending out racist tweets on Thursday that included the N-word.

“Twitter responded immediately and have resolved the issue,” a rep for Sandler, 53, told Page Six on Friday. The tweets have been removed from Sandler’s timeline.

Twitter confirmed to us the account was indeed hacked.

A spokesperson for the company told Page Six, “As soon as we were made aware of the issue, we locked the compromised account.”

The hackers are believed to be the same group that targeted Mariah Carey’s account on New Year’s Eve — the “Chuckling Squad” — because one of Sandler’s hacked tweets mentioned the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer.

The tweet said, “I just had phone sex with @MariahCarey.”

The hacking group also previously targeted actress Chloë Grace Moretz and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

Twitter said at the time, “The phone number associated with the account was compromised due to a security oversight by the mobile provider. This allowed an unauthorized person to compose and send tweets via text message from the phone number.”
