Aaron Carter’s girlfriend ‘arrested for domestic abuse’

Aaron Carter’s girlfriend Melanie Martin ‘has been arrested for alleged domestic abuse’.

According to reports, police were called to his Lancaster home at around 11pm on Sunday night, after an argument between the couple apparently turned physical.

The reason given for the call was ‘domestic violence’, with sources alleging there had been a ‘verbal argument’, which soon turned physical.

The I Want Candy singer claimed his girlfriend of four months scratched him during the row, with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirming to TMZ that he ‘did have marks on his body’.

Melanie was taken into police custody, with the publication stating she has been held on a $50,000 (£40k) bail.

Following reports of the argument, Nick Carter’s brother took to social media to discuss the alleged assault.

Aaron also said he wished ‘nothing but the best’ for his ex.

Their argument comes just after the pair had been self-isolating together, amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The singer was sharing glimpses of their quarantine routine on social media, giving fans a glimpse of their shopping trips.

Just a few days ago, Aaron teased that he was looking at an engagement ring for Melanie, suggesting that they were taking their relationship up several notches.

As well as this, he recently got a tattoo of her name on his face, to celebrate their whirlwind romance.
