Lush releases 13 new vegan makeup brushes

06/01/2019

Lush has released a new collection of vegan makeup brushes, designed by their in-house makeup artist.

The brushes are made of 100% vegan materials: recycled aluminium, biodegradable sustainable sourced wood, a cellulose-based lacquer and vegan glue.

And they’re totally cruelty-free.

The brushes are very simple-looking, with a sleek design featuring black handles and a gold top.

There are 13 brushes in the set, with prices ranging from £7.50 to £32.

Lush’s head makeup artist Meg Edwards said, ‘We tried and tested an array of different brushes and synthetic fibres until we had a perfect collection. We’re confident the range of brushes will deliver professional results.

‘They’re easy to use and they have a luxurious, premium feel!’

The release comes after Lush opened its biggest store ever in Liverpool, with a spa, florist, hair lab and perfume library inside.

The store opened back in March at 34-35 Church Street, and features a hair lab, offering cutting services, a permanent florist selling locally sourced and seasonal bouquets and a perfume library with exclusive scents.

Handmade fresh products are made onsite and there’s a spa with six treatment rooms.

Treatments include the percussion massage, where you are massaged to the beats of music and a fresh facial, using Lush skincare products.

Also in the store is a party area and a coffee and tea kiosk if you need a break from shopping.

The new store, which is spread over three floors, is five times bigger than the previous Liverpool branch and apparently, it’s big enough to hold 9,000,000 bath bombs.

Sure, none of us need that many bath bombs – but it’s definitely the place to go if you’re in need of stocking up.
