Katie got tons of support from her friends and followers. Lisa Rinna commented, “Go Katie!!!!!”, and another follower wrote, “Bravo!!! Crushing it!”

Katie tagged her Pilates instructor, Ashley Patten, in the pic. And she posted about her work with Ashley in April 2021, noting that she helped her “rediscover her waist.”

On her website, Katie interviewed Ashley, and shared that during the pandemic she took up Pilates. In February 2021 she had been practicing for 6 months already. (Which means she’s been practicing for 11 months!)

“You’re a natural! You’ve been so consistent and hard working. Every week we get more in and make things more challenging,” Ashley said about Katie.

On top of her Pilates practice, Katie also follows a Pegan Diet, which was a term created by Mark Hyman, MD, that blends the dietary approaches of the paleo and vegan diets. Katie started the diet during the pandemic in March 2021 in an effort to reset her diet during the height of the pandemic. (She previously tried the keto diet.)

“It’s been very stressful, so people who are stress eaters have more stress and are responding by eating more,” CoKatie said in a discussion she hosted with Dr. Hyman on IGTV in late February, via EatingWell.”I have a sweet tooth and have been eating way too many sweets. I just want a reset and I want to feel better and have more energy…I want whoever is interested in kind of doing a reset and getting back on track to do it with us. I think it would be fun to do it as a community.”
